This Cookie Policy explains how Intellidu Canada Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on the SkillShift+ platform. It supplements, and should be read with, the SkillShift+ Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. It allows the site to recognize your browser, keep you signed in, remember preferences and operate securely. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage and pixels, which perform comparable functions. In this policy, "cookies" includes those technologies.

Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted. They may be set by us (first-party) or by a service we use (third-party).

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Platform to work. They cannot be switched off through the preference centre, because disabling them would prevent core functions such as signing in and completing a purchase. They are used without consent, on the basis that they are essential to deliver the service you have requested.

3.2 Preference cookies

These remember choices you make — such as language, display settings or dismissed notices — so the Platform behaves the way you expect. Where a preference cookie is not essential, it is set only with your permission.

3.3 Social-login cookies

Where social login is enabled and you choose to use it, the social provider may set cookies as part of the authentication process. These are governed by that provider's own policies. Facebook login is not enabled unless and until it has been configured and tested.

SkillShift+ does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not sell personal information to advertisers. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be obtained before any such cookie is set.

On your first visit, and whenever your recorded choices are no longer current, a cookie banner is displayed. It offers three controls:

You may change your choices at any time through the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer. Withdrawing permission stops the further use of that category; cookies already stored can be removed through your browser.

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings, and offer private-browsing modes and "do not track" signals. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in, saving progress or completing a purchase. We update this policy when our use of cookies changes. A new cookie category will be added to this policy, and to the preference centre, before it is deployed. The effective date and last-updated date appear on this document.
